Sustainability in Higher Education: Addressing Policy, Place and People

According to “The Princeton Review 2016 College Hopes & Worries Survey Report”4, 61% of parents and college-bound students say that information about colleges’ commitments to environmental issues contributes in some way to their decision to apply to or attend a university. Beyond the value to prospective and current students and faculty that sustainability initiatives create, developing a comprehensive sustainability strategy can also help administrators reduce operating costs and risk.
